brobradh77
danny where have you found lsx blocks that need no machine work? I think you interpreted that wrong...He meant you pay $2000 for the block before you have to pay for machining to be done.
04CHASE
yeah i guess i interpreted that as he meant they need no machine work when they need quite a bit to be ready for abuse.

04CHASE
i know danny remember i do have an lsx. i spent a bit more on the maching an extra 300 for drilling and tapping the head studs for 1/2. but yes they do require a bit more than a o.e.m. block

If I recall GM didn't release their version in 09' as planned. You can still get them though. We have done them at work. Zippy

Bear
GM now lists two new LSX “Finished Blocks” that should cut down on machining costs and prep time, but as of yet no word on cost. That and I don’t know why a more conservative bore was not offered for a 427” package, so that there would be plenty of room for freshening up the motor. The only reasoning behind these two blocks is they are just pulling them from the LSX engine packages that are now offered. 19244055 NEW LSX376 Production Block • 4.065" Bore • Completed Machined • Deck Plate Honed • Align Honed-Main Bearings • Deck height 9.240 (production) • Billet Main Caps • Includes all Hardware 19244057 NEW LSX454 Production Block • 4.185" Bore • Completed Machined • Deck Plate Honed • Align-Honed Main Bearings • Deck height 9.240 (production) • Billet Main Caps • Includes all Hardware
