nds429
I want to lower my truck at least a 2/4 drop. You guys think i will have any problems, alot of people are saying it cant be dropped anymore in the front because the tires will rub. I think it can still be done. The wheels are 24in with 305-35 tires. Here are the links to the pics. http://www.SilveradoSS.com/forums/index.ph...si&img=3724 http://www.SilveradoSS.com/forums/index.ph...si&img=3719
SSplaytoy
You can do a 2/4 drop on it, but it will rub slightly when turning hard in the front

nds429
Hey thanks guys. I wish I could go with at least a 4/7 drop but thats asking to much. As it is there is about a paper thin space between the wheel and the guard when I turn. Another option would be to get two 22 in wheels for the front. My original plan was 22's in the front and 24's in the back with 305/40's all around but the dealer where I bought the wheels and tires was going to rake the price just because I was going to leave him with two different size's of wheels. So I went with the package deal of 24's. Now it looks like im going to be left with two 24's and 4 tires 305/35's cause im going to go with my original plan. The truck is screaming to get dropped. I have seen the second one from Fastlane a few times. He is running 22's not 24's. For your truck, what is the drop you really wanna put on it? nds429
i'm looking for at least a 3/5 but I'll settle for a 2/4 if thats all i can go. I dont want to cut into the plastic and I don't want to take it off either and of course I don't want it to rub.
nds429
im just gonna take the hit and order two 22's and get 305-40's tires. I can definatley get a 4in drop in the front and the back I won't have any problems.

You can do a 3/5 with the 24's if you have the right offset and tires on it. Contact NORCAL SS on here and he will give you the best deal on all the parts you need to do the 3/5 that you want. The 5" drop in the back may require a small c-notch to avoid bottoming out as easily or get a set of helper bags and remove the bumpstop brackets and mount the bumpstops directly to the frame. nds429
good question. I need to double check cause I don't remeber what they told me it was. Off topic and since u mentioned, you know who or where I can get good disk brakes kits? The truck came with factory rear drums and they are having a little bit of a problem trying to brake. I've checked on Summit and the prices are crazy high and I've seen some on ebay for three times less but never heard of the brand name. I'll post the offset a little later on going to call the shop and ask what the offset is, i need to call anyway to get the hieght of the tire to ajust the speedometer gauge. I think he still has the set he was selling. If not, check ebay for baer, brembo, or z06 kits, or post a WTB for them on here and over on performancetrucks.net Edited February 15, 2010 by SSplaytoy (see edit history)
