When I lived in Illinios the smog checks were free because they were manditory by the state. BlueAKSSS Posted February 25, 2010 Report Share Posted February 25, 2010 That's the emissions test we have they just plug in their OBDII scanner into the truck look to see if the cats are working and if there's any codes and the check the check engine light turns on and off once the truck starts.
