usmcchevyss
well I put a set of baer eradisped rotors on the sss a few years ago and got my miles on them. NOw it is time for a brake job, I want to know if anyone has cut a set of baer rotors. can I cut them? or should I not, . i really don't have the money right now to buy new rotors, even thought I want to, I want to try to keep this as cheap as possible without putting the stock rotors back on. thanks Bryan 05sss Edited May 10, 2010 by usmcchevyss (see edit history)
12'SROCK
Yes you can. As long as they are not to the minimum thickness yet your good.
jadaven
Got the same thing going on. A lot of people say you can't. Called SSBC about mine and they said it would be no problem. First shop I called said they could and it would be not problem. Cut 'em. Edited May 10, 2010 by jadaven (see edit history)
12'SROCK
Who ever said you can't cut the slotted/drilled rotors is stupid and does not know how to run a brake lathe...
detjoe
I think drilled are hard on the cutters of a lathe, so it takes someone knowing what they are doing. I would find a performance shop and see who does their stuff.

usmcchevyss
well finally got around to doing the brakes. The shop cut them for me but he was worried that there was not a lot of meat left on them he cut them for me no problem just very rusty.. I did not get to finish putting everything back together had to play husband and dad so no play time. Next time I have to do brakes the baers are going to scrap, there will be nothing to cut. Guess I going back to the stock rotors Bummer!!!! Bryan
