cares
It may be 'out of season' but winter in Minnesota is not far off. I want to purchase a set of steel wheels to mount snow tires on. Does anyone make a 19" or 20" steel wheel that is at least 8.5" wide? or where could I find one? Thanks
vette dude
I would use some of those POSs like the sopare, IMO u could put a better snow tire on that...

SuperSport
I think alluminum rims would hold up better, because it will not rust.
vette dude
I dunno, i was under the impression aluminum was worse than steel in salt water... I would not go 20" because like i said, i don't think it would be effective...
Dr Mike
Winter Wheels, Best Place to buy is Wal Mart, same steel wheel as spare tire. Stick to what GM has, 16 " is best size for snow tires, cheaper and more choice. Be sure to buy Winter and not 4 season. Winters are softer compound and Minnesota like here in Canada equals more grip on ice and better thread clearing in snow. You can get OEM 16" center caps on eBay for about 30$ U.S Cheers Dr Mike

DanY
After curbing a wheel in the last snow of the year, I decided that I'm going to get a set of snow tires and wheels. You should consider looking on Ebay for Silverado take offs in 16 or 17 inch. A lot of people are removing new Silverado wheels and tires and selling them. Price is really reasonable, shipping is a bit much depending on buyer/seller locations.
