chpspecial
Yes, I just did this on my GMC. I used the 6disc from my SSS on it and worked perfect. Although the GMC also has BOSE, it will still work for your brother. When you take it to the dealer, there is no VIN relearn for the non NAV head units, instead what has to be done is the radio must be reprogramed to the latest calibration. Once the latest calibration is programed, the 6disc will relearn the new VIN and you are set to enjoy it.

chpspecial
So he will not need the Bose amp to get sound at all? Nope, the stock non LUX amp is just a dumb amp, so no, its ok.
