Mangione
Getting ready to install my long tubes and high flow resonators .. Was wondering how the truck is going to run without a tune !! Won't be able to have a tune done for a week or so ... Just wondering if the truck will run okay or good enough to get by till I have the PCM tune done !! Anyone have any input !! Thanks chris . The_aSSet
i ran my truck for a little with long tubes and no tune, its not bad, just get the tune when u can, youll be much happier with the tune, little more power, and a little more mpg
RamAirZ
^ x2. You'll probably get an SES light for the rear O2's as well.
sierra ss
SES light will be on, expect only a small hp increase untill you get it tuned.
Jordan836
If I were you id just wait to install the longtubes until you can get the tune done. Why not do it all at once that way you dont have to worry about it then youll be able to feel all the benefits at once.
Big Tim
I did mine a couple months before having mine tuned, I didn't have any check engine light. But, I also didn't bypass any o2 sensors, etc. I agree that you should get it tuned as soon as possible, but I don't think it is absolutely critical. You just won't see the full benefit until the tune. However, if you notice it stumbling or anything wierd, definitely get it tuned.
