dounome
I know there has been a lot of discussion about plastic paint. If you were going to paint the plastic wheel lug covers on your wheels what would you use? Or would you take them to a paint shop, I need them to be satin black. Thanks
haynss
DO IT....you could either use the Caliper paint which should work or engine paint. Local auto zone or something like will have it. DO IT!
dounome
I think I will do it, I just want to make sure and use a paint that will still have some flex to it since Im putting it on plastic. I guess as long as the prep work is good it should be fine. BTW I now have a powder coat machine at my disposal so with that said the sky is the limit........ haynss
I did my interior, which is plastic and it sticks pretty good. Then again yours is on your wheel and will take a little more abuse. I think something for the engine may be best as it has to be "tough"
SinisterSS
Just about any quality paint will work for lug nuts. If it starts flaking off in a year or two, think of the positive, it's an opportunity for a new color!
dounome
looks like I will go with the engine paint as it should be a little more durable. If Im not happy with it I can always do it again. I must say that the stock wheels look pretty good powder coated black.

dounome
I will post some pics when I get them all on the truck with the center caps painted too. The black wheels look really good on the red, so Im sure the red wheels on black woulf look killer. I think they look good because the truck sits so low now, no need to order those 22's now
Lee
If you were going to paint the plastic wheel lug covers on your wheels what would you use? Krylon Fusion paint. It's the only paint made specifically FOR plastics.
dounome
I may be able to do set or two if anyone is intrested, you would have to break them down and send just the wheels, I could have them done in a week.
