Let the bmw rust out you dont have to worry about rust on the eastern side of Oregon, Its actually fairly dry here especially during the Summer and Fall, We dont get a lot of rain, it goes from snow to nice overnight. And they dont use chemicals or salt on the roads for the ice, they use cinder (volcanic) rock, but you do have to worry about rock chips, i have quite a few especially on my hood.
