zippy Posted August 1, 2004 Report Share Posted August 1, 2004 for any of you guys with 04's that have been doing shift kits and servo's. if you run into your retaining ring for the servo using squared wire instead of round, replace it. there will be a bulliten from gm on this soon, but it is causing a breakage on many of the case because it isn't holding properly. as far as i'm aware only some late 03's and early 04's recieved this and not all, but i'd just keep it in mind. zippy Posted August 8, 2004 Author Report Share Posted August 8, 2004 i figured out today that one of these 04' style rings was the cause of taking out the servo bore on a friends trans. i'd certainly recomend checking this if you have an 04'.
