Joe Louis
My 03 SS has Gibson headers and exhaust but I don't really like the way it sounds! It runs good but I want it to sound deeper, meaner, tougher etc. What should or can I do to take care of this issue?
f1ss
What are your goals? How much can you spend? You could go with Flowmaster and have the sound, but itll choke your engine, hence their called Blowmasters. They kill low end torque. Look into Billy Boat, they have a great deep sounding exhaust, quality materials and craftsmanship is 2nd to none. However their customer service is not the nicest, they treated me like a dumb idiot. Magnaflow is another option and also Borla (GMPP product).
eeekroar
Do you have cats? Are you running a Gibson exhaust also? Corsa exhaust sounds pretty damn mean!
superredss
Magnaflow has a pretty deep sound, and it won't kill your power like 03mass said flowmasters will. But, if you can afford it, corsa sounds awesome. Have you thought about dumping your exhaust? That will make it sound deeper too.
f1ss
Everyone seems to argue about Flowmaster, mine is just an opinion. Member near me swapped out his Flowmaster to a Dynomax and their was a difference.
Joe Louis
Yeah When I bought the SS it came with a full Gibson exhaust set up headers and exhaust. I like how it runs I just don't really like the way it sounds! I have to make a good smart choice?
