Sorry bro, but the IBEW can choke on a fat one. My wife worked for a competitive electrical union in 2006/2007. She was visably pregnant. The local IBEW president was unhappy that they were taking work, so he filed for all kinds of prevailing wage requests and tons of other paperwork just to make her do extra work. He and his other union thugs would stop in the office every so often for no other reason than just to intimidate her. She was often the only person in the office. She had difficulties with that pregnancy, and I attribute a lot to the stress he caused her. Thinking about it has me so mad I'm just about shaking. If I ever see that ****, it's going to be a bad day for him.

Sorry to here your wife had bad luck with her union but that is not how we work our union fights for people in her situation to get them time off with pay if they have a medical problem and it would be Verizon trying to fire them for not being able to do there job ...

Effin Verizon, never liked them, never will. At least I won in court a $800 cell bill that wasnt mine and they blamed me. I hope you and Keith pull through. You got my support.

Comcast is next, damn Monoply. I cant stand the Dish people either, customer service is crap. Things are really going down the shittah quick these days.

So the IBEW can choke on one because your wife was pregnant and she became upset about a labor dispute? Seems one sided. She should have taken leave from her job... and not expect special sensitive treatment in a very hostile industry.

As far as the OP goes; Verizon has always been this way... good luck brother.

No-one is held accountable for their actions anymore. Too many anonymous representatives and spokesman now-a-days. Every higher up that makes a corporate decision (ie: refuse a customer service issue as "policy", refuse to make right a mistake as "policy"... etc) should have that decision tied to his/her name as public knowledge.

No problem. How does that work with the IBEW? I know our local has a contract to not strike during a dispute. Are you not allowed to travel while that strike is in effect?

If we were getting close to agreeing on a new contract we will keeping working but we are not even close they want to take back just about everything we get wages / benifits / job security.. so we had no other choice but to strike . believe me no one wont's to strike but it has to be done..

the first 2 weeks we will be doing 8-12 hr shifts 7 days a week then twice a week so people can get some side work to pay the bills .. and you can travel they have no say we don't have a contract ... chris

I know it's a hike to 351 territory, but we've been putting travelers out like crazy. Revel Casino in AC... just a heads up for what it's worth.
