BlackySS13
I bought this cam from slimsoftball and he put 2,000 miles on this cam. The cam is in excellent condition but I decided to go with a different cam setup. Part Number: 54-412-11 Duration 212/218 Valve 522/529 Lobe 114 Degrees PM if interested. bigbl62
what kind of mods did you have done? i only have a pcm, exhaust, cai saving up for a supercharger. would this cam be ok
BlackySS13
I have the same mods. I never installed the cam, just bought it from slim to install. I am trying to sell it because I am a little short on funds right now. Haynss installed this cam, as well as some other guys and liked it. I don't know how it would work with a supercharger, not an expert in that field. Wish I was though.
BlackySS13
But, as far as I know, running this cam with a supercharger is not going to harm anything. It'll just add performance and hp.
TBSS
This cam will work fine with a blower. Little to no overlap with about 6 degrees between intake and exhaust is ideal, and this cam has it. Buy with confidence.
bigbl62
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO BUY TO DO THE CAM SWAP? HOW MUCH ARE YOU ASKING?
TBSS
You can get by with just new springs, i.e. Comp 918's. If you have money and want to, pushrods are next, but not required. Then you could get new retainers to lighten up your valvetrain (titanium retainers if you're going to replace them, don't replace them with steel, which is what comes from the factory). bigbl62
WHAT KIND OF BENEFIT WILL I GET IF I CHANGE THE SPRINGS,RETAINERS AND PUSH RODS? HOW MUCH WILL I SPEND ON THESE ITEMS?
BenKey
No broken parts. At a minimum, you will have to change the springs. If not, chances are you could break one.
