himata13 Posted November 22, 2011 Report Share Posted November 22, 2011 i am intalling one of this super truck Gibson exhaust but this only has a 3" single inlet and the one on my truck has a dual inlet. does it affect the performance of the truck if i put a Y pipe and convert it to a single inlet?? help!! But short answer is pretty much no, you're performance will not be effected by using the Y pipe. Exhaust flow won't be compromised with that setup unless you are pushing a good amount of horsepower, and if it is effected it's pretty minimal.
