Thanks Zippy,

Those don't look much different than the Edelbrock one's I have now.

Do you work for a dealership?

I'm service manager at Elliott Chevy in Athens Tx.

Zippy,

I didn't know you lived so close to Holland. I travel there quite often for work (the Pfizer site). I was just there for a whole week and borred to tears! I typically shack up at the Holiday Inn conference center in Holland. I could have used your advice on where the closest,...uh hem, gentleman's establishment was located. :D Small world.

Do you have the chromed shortys? I have them and I am in the same position as you. I just started lookin for some cheap long tube headers

yep same one's..

I just can't justify $500.00-$600.00 for a set of hedders.

One of the first mods I considered was headers, off-road x and true duals. Then I saw the price... What I did 10 years ago on my 5.0 for $300 TOTAL was $1600 for this truck.

I hear ya.

What makes pipe so precious for the new vehicles??

I paid $375.00 for a set of adjustable tube race headers with step up adaptr plates for my '69 Camaro rrace car in the late '70's..

They were no better hedders at the time..

I can still buy a decent set for my '73 454 Stepbed now or less than $200.00

Life ain't fair if you own a late model!!!
