A_FUrious Posted February 27, 2012 Report Share Posted February 27, 2012 I just thought I'd take a minute to relay my gratitude to Drew Amitrano from kooks, AKA World Class on the forums. Being in the service industry I know how important, regardless of the severity, customer service is. I was shopping around for long tube headers and going by things I've read and dealing with my local speed shop. My choices were, as I see it, American Racing Headers or Kooks. So I decided to contact Kooks and within the next few hours I had a response. No only did Drew answer all of my questions he offered knowledgeable responses. I haven't even bought anything as of yet, but he was very fast with a response and again offered extensive knowledge. Meanwhile it took ARH two weeks for a response on a email. Needless to say I'm going with Kooks. The customer service was so good even if it were a $500 difference I would still choose Kooks. Although I believe they just got into the 6.0 truck headers market when ARH has already been a player for some time now. From what I have read (do no know exact facts) but I think Kooks only produces 1 3/4 primaries where as ARH produces 1 3/4 and 1 7/8. Again I could be wrong on that. Kooks does offer both 1 3/4 & 1 7/8 with varoius connection pipes based on application. Fitment covers LS based 1500 series trucks. The heades will work on 2500 series trucks with a custom built Y-Pipe that you can have made, we can get you all the necesssary components to make that happen too. Kooks site doesn't list the 03 SS. Do you have to call them to get any specifics? Summit lists Kooks but not for the 03 SS. Thanks.
