MID12sSSS
Okay. So I want to build my 408 rather than a 370, so I have room to build. I want to save up for a tvs2300, but my question is, for the time being, is it safe to run the radix on the 408 until I can upgrade to a bigger supercharger, whether it be a procharger or the 2300? People were talking how the radix would just be a heat fan for the 408. If I do a 10.3:1 static CR and have my meth injection start spraying at 1psi, will it be safe to run for awhile, what are your thoughts? MID12sSSS
Has anyone ever ran a radix on a 408 and had any luck?
chpspecial
Talk up angrygreg, he did it. It wasn't an efficient combo but it worked. He now has the tvs2300
MID12sSSS
Thanks for the advice and sorry for the noobie posts. Haha just trying to get ideas.
detjoe
I thought they used to sell an upgrade kit for the radix where you send your head unit to them and the send you a TVS blower that would use most of your box 2 stuff from the maggie. I would also look on Craigslist for a used intake...I have been looking at a car GenIV intake local to me for $200...this might help you if you were going to sell the maggie to keep the truck up and runing. MID12sSSS
Okay. Thanks a lot for all your help. Haha as you all well know, engine builds take lots of thinking, planning, and decision making. Haha i know the 370 with the radix will keep me satisfied as a daily driver, but the 408 seems all so tempting. Another day or 2 and ill know what im going to do... I'm not sure about the TVS kit but I just got off the phone with them and found out that they do not upgrade the Mp112 to the MP122 any more. MID12sSSS
Maybe i can find a used 122 kit. Ill look into specs and see what the estimated gains would be. A tvs2300 would be nice, but i got a lot of saving to do.I think my choices are the radix 370 or a NA 408.
MID12sSSS
Thanks to everyone who has been giving me advice throughout my "what to build" process. And sorry for the incorrectly named title of the thread, as it seems a Radix on a 408 isnt such a great idea. Still waiting for angrygreg to PM me back about his experience... detjoe
Yea 122's don't make since wi the new tvs blowers...those are hard to find and I don't think they had much better results to warrant the work.
