bagged7104ss
So the SSS is getting kind of old. Love the truck, but feel its time to throw some cash her way to make me love her like before. I just bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/280791392226?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_4120wt_1111 and also got 36 square feet of Stinger sound dampener. After reading up on the subject I am going to buy more 100 sq feet of sound dampener. I have a Pioneer D3 head unit now to the stock Bose system with 2 JL 10" W3'S powered by a JL 500/1 v2. I would like to stick to JL but not sure what model. Also would not mind changing out the rear door speakers. I am not sure what to upgrade too if it is even worth upgrading as I hear the rear's are just filler. What your opinion?
Blown 346
I know its not a JL, but my Alpine V12 works wonders for my interior speakers.
bagged7104ss
I know its not a JL, but my Alpine V12 works wonders for my interior speakers. I'll look into the Alpine stuff. I am not set on JL but thought I would have my amps match. Trying not to go to crazy on the amp so was thinking about this one in the link but am not sure if it will power my new Focal's and plan on getting some 6"x9" Infinity Kappa 3 ways in the rear http://www.jlaudio.com/jx360-4-car-audio-jx-amplifiers-99395

bagged7104ss
I thought I read on here we have 6"x9" rear speakers in the SSS. I removed the door panels to put some sound dampener in and there little Micky mouse speakers. I don't have the speakers here yet, they are being shipped. Can they fit with some cutting or no go? cb2big4u
I think stock hole for your rears is a 4x6 or 5x7. So you would need a little cutting but not much. Don't hurt to just measure it. Sent using Tapatalk 2 Edited August 25, 2012 by TampaVmax (see edit history)
bagged7104ss
I have some Infinity Kappas on there way 6"x9" we will see if they fit. I have a feeling the magnet will be too big.
cb2big4u
Depth wise that's a good possibility. Always can toss a spacer in there. Sent using Tapatalk
