shopman1 Posted September 15, 2004 Report Share Posted September 15, 2004 Due the the nasty plate position, (on the top to the nose), I have come up with a new design for the 2005 C6 Vette. I have designed and have a prototype of a new License Plate Bracket for the C6. This one is made of aluminum. All you can see if the plate position, not the bracket however it has a bracket behind the plate. I am currently getting one other prototype made of a different material. The bracket is stationary, it is 6.5" above the grownd, it does not touch any lower bumper paint and has rubber behind the front and under the top in case it was touched, it mounts behind the lower bumper. qwank Posted September 16, 2004 Report Share Posted September 16, 2004 they stick on on the top part of the nose?! thats nasty. i havnt seen one with a plate on front yet but we got a TSB at work saying the plate braket is held on with double sided tape. Although, compared to the molded in plate on the C5, this is a huge improvement, yet some people still want to complain. Shopman, you ought to show that over at corvetteforum.com, that's a nice alternative to people that must run a front plate.
