RtStuf
Recently on slick roads noticed in lower rt corner of rear view mirror AWD symbol & 88% then later symbol & 100%. Appears to be displaying percent AWD in use but cannot find any references in Owner's Manual. Anyone w knowledge of this?

RtStuf
Acquired '03 SS after registered, haven't updated profile. Understand the standard 32% front, 68% rear split of AWD but isn't more drive proportioned to front if needed under slippage conditions. Difficult to photo rearview mirror under skick conditions but will try next time conditions right. And no 88% w AWD symbol displayed is not the temperature but same window of display. Thanks for any help.
chawkins6789
I can't tell you awd stuff but, on my 04 GMC the display with alternate temp and "ICE" when its cold out Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Xparent Red Tapatalk
levilz
Hmmm. Never heard of anything like that. Temp is all I've ever known to display up there...
RebelOne
the normal is 62% rear and 38% front
f1ss
38% front 62% rear. Any deviation by the T case isn't displayed. the normal is 62% rear and 38% front Both these members have it right, and you cannot transfer power in the differentials so showing different percentages would not mean anything related to the drivetrain like stated. Maybe its on humidity or some sensor. 2003-04 models mostly were fully loaded with some options that did not come in the later trucks. Or the previous owner could have installed something... J~Riz
Better find a nice big open parking lot and test it out lol Im in ohio and I havent seen this at all even in the snow so I really dont think its a factory option, even in 03' and 04's

The viscous coupler can transfer power to either axle from the fore mention split to 100% to either axle depending on axle slip.
