BenKey
Are you bulletproofing the stock trans, or moving to the 4L80? Mr. P. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bulletproofing is not possible, whether on a 4L60 or 4L80, although closer with the 80.
BenKey
Awesome times F8L. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thx! Now do me a huge favor and do't run your truck till after Oct.31. You are gonna kill my times on motor alone. LOL j/k I can't wait to see what that beast is gonna do. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No prob there. Especially since my motor is coming out again. F8L Z71
F8L, have you ran your truck in a street form with no weight reduction and launching off idle? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, not yet. If I leave off idle it's exactly the same as if I launch at less than 5psi. The truck bogs real bad and wont build real boost till well beyond the 60' area or a large intersection if on the street. So off idle essentially was a [email protected] 2.1 60'... As for full weight with the tonnue cover (150lbs+), tailgate(45lb), back seat(65lb) and subs(90lbs).. I guess add about 350lbs? so maybe a mid 13 or so off idle or 13.0 under boost?. That would put my race weight at about 5450lbs. If I had a smaller turbo it would do much better due to spool time but I sized this one so I wouldn't have to change when i did the 6.0L motor after the 5.3L blows up.
