ssBLACKEDOUTss
Im looking for another Saturday project. Has anyone changed their under rear seat storage into a sub box? If so, any leads on materials and whatnot would be appreciated. Thanks

cb2big4u
You mean the gap that's under the backseat? That's what most people do. Google Silverado extended cab sub box. Comes up with so many feelers. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk
[email protected]
definitely the place for subs http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/gallery/image/7018-11152010074/
jddmj
I think he is referring to the GM tool box that goes under the back seat. He wants to convert it into a sub box. [email protected]
i don't think it would convert well, it is made of plastic, it would sounds like kicking a plastic tub around, i'd just replace it with a sub box IMO
ssBLACKEDOUTss
Thats what I figured to just remove it but I was fishing to see if anyone ever messed with the idea.
[email protected]
anything is possible, my only concern would be sound, theoretically the plastic would flex and maybe pop with a decent amount of power pushed through it, i make my steel roof panels resonate i could only imagine if it were plastic
cb2big4u
I see now. Could always fiberglass the inside of the box and somehow mount the subs. It can work. Anything is possible. Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk

Sent from Rezound using Tapatalk 2 I just wouldn't waste the time honestly. I have thrown around the idea myself. I have one of these storage boxes in storage with a broke hinge. Best bet if you want that type of look is to go with this. Guero005
I did change my storage to a sub box. I have a single box expanding under the whole seat with 2-10" subs facing down at the carpet. The box is also ported with PVC pipes of 1-1/2" for each sub to have crisp sound.
