NORCAL SS
THIS PROJECT STARTED BACK IN 2010 AND STILL GOING ON AS OF DAY THIS POST WAS PUT UP. I'll start with the beginning posts from the other forum this was on and keep adding because I'm going to be doing more to it now FEB 2010 Well my dad got into a accident yesterday in his silverado. Quick history he special ordered the truck back in 94 and took 4 months to finally come in. 350 with 5 speed and 3.73 gears which is very rare. He ordered it with the 454 ss wheels and its been his baby. Im helping him get everything back up and going again. Doing a cowl hood and a few other upgrades. I told him the spindle looks messed up hahahaha so djm 2 inch drop spindles are going in. Ill keep the pics coming as time goes on. ---------- Post added at 07:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:20 PM ---------- pressure washed entire frame and under carriage goin to paint it all on saturday ---------- Post added at 07:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 PM ---------- well went under the truck today saw that the pipes are rotted so muffler is only a few months old. GOing to do new 2.5 inch turn downs after the axle just str8 dumped. So i didnt paint that but painted all the undercarriage and axle etc. GOT THE FRONT DROP SPINDLES IN HAHAH almost everythings at the body shop. also painted the housings of side markers and driving lamps silver so will look cleaner in the clear corners. ---------- Post added at 07:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 PM ---------- just a update yet again. put in the fat belltech front swaybar and going to install the rear hotchkis 4 inch drop leafs and rear belltech swaybar on wednesday. Front fenders are in just waiting to get the stuff from the paint shop ---------- Post added at 07:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 PM ---------- his 275 60 15 compared to my extra 285 35 22. the 275 45 20 will be almost the same height which will look good and then in rear the 295 45 20 is 3/4 of a inch taller so will fill the well nicely ---------- Post added at 07:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:22 PM ---------- got the front on today and hood fit great. Im going to bring the hood tomm to get painted. rest of the truck will need to be wet sanded and polished and i have a feeling im going to have the entire truck painted
NORCAL SS
front came down some once we get the bumper and all that on should look better. right now 30.5 in front and 30.75 in rear from ground to fenderlip. major camber Edited April 14, 2013 by NORCAL SS (see edit history)
NORCAL SS
gonna put the 20s on tomm i hope. Almost have everything done in front. just a quick update took the truck for a ride and even with alignment off rides a lot better than before. it also sat down more with 275 45 20 and 295 45 20 and front just djm spindles and rear hotchkis leafs with djm lifting shackles it sits at 31.25 in front and rear 32 inches from ground to fenderlip which is perfect. Ill have my dad drive it about 1000 miles so the rear leafs settle down but with the rear hotchkis leafs/djm lifting shackles/edelbrock shocks/belltech rear swaybar truck rides great I should have the front grill on the truck tomm pics for now this pic is right after it came of the jackstands now here are others after i finally drove on it HIDS hoping to get it to my buddy to buff out this weekend. ---------- Post added at 07:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:24 PM ---------- heres some pics just need to take off rear chevy on tailgate and new front corners
NORCAL SS
Notched the rear and going to get 2 inch shackles to get a 7 inch drop in rear. Should look pretty good with the 295 45 20s in rear tucked. so got the new front tires on. Here is the pre pic as you can see the rear has come down over the past 2 years i then was like **** it so i pulled off the rear chevy tag ill clean it up over the weekend So came home my dads like "i want you do clean that shit off" so weekend ill have to buff the tailgate out. We then were looking at it and the Truck needs to be lowered in front. Currently on 255 50 20/295 45 20 front is at 30 1/8 and rear is at 30.5 on pass side and 30.25 drivers (full tank of gas) so ill be doing the springs this weekend should look stuffed in front. I then told him lets do a rollpan he didn't want to but then i told him **** it ill but it hes like ok lets do it lol so ordered goodmark rollpan from summit Then rear taillights look like they need work so looking to get a new OEM batch since the led stuff is way to flashy and picked up a new front polished bowtie since the chrome one is pitted cali lean is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ended up lowering the front got 7/8 out of it My pops asked if we could stuff fatter tires in the rear. I will be adding 2 inch shackles to the back and adding 305 50 20 (have 295 45 20 on it now) Should look stuffed in the rear Before After ROLL PAN ON before after Falken came out with the new Ziex S/TZ05 and its a nice looking tire. Went with a 305 50 20 on the back of my dads truck. Im going to add in shackles this weekend to bring the rear down more ---------- Post added at 07:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:26 PM ---------- put in rear shackles for pops today for 1 more inch drop. IM thinking about lowering the front more and doing the rear for another 1 inch to really tuck it. These 305 50 20s are stuffed in back

coal miner
Good looking truck. I didn't like the camper shell at first. But the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.
Akslowroller
I didn't like the shell much either but as I kept reading and looking at it it grew on me lol. I think I like it because it's not just another single cab with it on. Meh who knows but I like it.
coal miner
Good place to put some subs. I did on my 2500 I used to have. I had two kicker l7 15 inch in the bed and had it ported to the cab. I couldn't stand to turn it up half way.
