AK04SS
performance wise...the truck pulls harder than before...more of a deeper tone to the engine...better throttle response. havent tried measuring any MPG increase yet i'm happy with it...more sound is what i wanted...but it made the truck a little bit faster. also took about 20 minutes to install hope the pictures help

rdss
Dont they have the Brute Force in chrome or a polished aluminum? The kit looks nice, the polished or chrome would have finished it off though

AK04SS
yeah, the place i ordered it from wasnt too clear on the description, so i thought the C at the end of the product number meant Chrome but its good enough for me
AK04SS
should i have to worry about sucking up water with this intake? its kinda rainy up here and i dont wanna risk hydrolocking my motor, should i get a K&N precharger for it? anyone else using this intake or something similar have problems with rain or water like from the car wash? deezel
That style intake should have no problems with water.
rdss
That style intake should have no problems with water. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I drove my 4.3 with a K&N 10 inch conical filter for 2 years threw rain and snow in Maine and never had a problem with an open element.
