You can walk into a VZW store and ask them to run a data analysis and they can tell you on average how much data you actually use. Mind you I use my phone for everything...ended up saving $40 bucks a month and I have 4 phones, my Ipad and a hotspot all on the same plan. Edit: And to stick to your topic I love my S3. The S4 has a few more features that you don't necessarily need but its all based on your preference. IMO I would get the S3 if it fits in your budget and you will be happy.
