LWRDR
Any one know of an apoxy that i might be able to use to seal a crack on my transer case. This is for my tahoe not for my SS. Any ideas before i go and drop 1500 into a new one. Thanks
styleandspeed
Have any pics of how big the crack is? You could always try some JB weld, but I don't know how long it will last.
TimB
I had a cracked transfer case on my 2000 Z71. It was 900 to have it replaced a year and a half ago.

SuperDave
Can you get to the crack easily? Is is a large crack? If it's not too big, you can drain the case, clean the area with acetone (or similar) and grind a small groove where the crack is, and wire brush it and fill her up with TIG weld and be done with it. JB Weld could always fail, I prefer a permanent fix, but understand the use of temporary fixes. Good luck, just be careful and ground right to the case and remember to disconnect the battery!
