shawnss Posted January 19, 2014 Report Share Posted January 19, 2014 Only reason my truck has ever throw than was because I had a loose ground cable. BlueAKSSS Posted January 19, 2014 Report Share Posted January 19, 2014 I agree with Shawn, I had this problem with a 03 Silverado, added an additional ground to one of the original ground wires for the low beams and we never had the REP mode come on again. 1skss Posted January 19, 2014 Report Share Posted January 19, 2014 My 05 ss does this every once In a blue moon when I hit the auto start remote. I usually just push the harness In against the tb and it goes away leaving the check eng light on for about 15miles and it goes off. I'm sure my harnes just comes loose from tb which causes this code to come on ... Think it's reduced engine power on my message board everytime. [email protected] Posted January 19, 2014 Report Share Posted January 19, 2014 I had this exact problem when I bought my current truck, turns out one of my HID ballasts was causing a severe power drain and sending it into reduced power mode.
