BLOWN SS/T
Header paint wont stop the heat they produce. It will only the paint to actually stay on the headers and burn off. The bets thing to do for performance is to wrap the headers with header wrap. You want to keep the heat inside the headers for the best performance. Curious, will the ceramic coating protect with the heat or mainly for keeping the rust away. Op if your interested give me an email or numer to txt and I think I have some pics before I put them in. Blown 346
Ceramic coating will help with some heat but its basically to look nice and protect the actual material the headers are made of. The best way to keep heat in is with the wrap.
onebadmax
Exhaust gas is corrosive. Any mild steel header will rust through, from the inside out. Even in Cali.
tayldss
I've had OBX longtubes on my truck for a few years now with no big complaints and they're stainless so still look decent. Plus, they bolted on without too much hassle or any welding. Only thing I had to do was get some insulated boots for my spark plug wires and zip tie one back away from the bend near the steering shaft.
