jsanders347
I was reading about the volant and it said they keep things quite due to it being enclosed? Are they saying there's no whistle under acceleration? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

avtonomb
Has Volant always used that filter? It's the Donaldson filter right? It's the same thing that comes or atleast you to come the Duramax engine. Really good filter.

NipRing
I used Bill me Later for 6 mos free financing. I could have gotten the CAI about $13 cheaper on amazon but not the financing deal.
JC03SS
I got mine on Amazon for 225$ then summit for the tube. Pretty good deal. I made the clear top at work for nothing. Looks nice and works great. You will like it for sure.
NipRing
I have a Volant on my wife's Caddy with the Northstar V8, it gives it a nice growl when she punches it. I'm sure it'll be a great upgrade for the SS.
NipRing
So I took out the K&N and put in the new volant yesterday and today I just finished putting in the ram air scoop. I had to do a little cutting with the 4" grinder so the scoop would go further onto the air duct. I needed it as far forward as possible because I already had the fronts of my inner wheel wells zip tied forward to avoid my tires (305/40/22) from rubbing. I just trimmed that metal bracket that the scoop stops against, zip tied it to the bar, and all is good. I took a 30 second sound clip by sticking my phone in the air duct. I just wanted to hear what it sounded like . Edited March 13, 2014 by NipRing (see edit history)
SS&Sierra_84
I ended up going with VOLANT...I just ordered the Ram Air Tube For It From Summit Racing...its not due to arrive till APR 7. I got both from summit racing. They have awesome pricing compared to JCWHITNEY. I love JCWHITNEY its where I got alot of my stuff for my Sierra. I have to say though Summit Racing has some awesome prices.

Normandy
Just received mine in today!! Seeing as we do not have a AWD dyno down here I'll be headed to the track Friday. I'll install it Saturday and take it back next week.
Zebra
Had an Airaid M.I.T. tube only but went with the GM. I really like the Banks Power C.A.I. as well.
