SS&Sierra_84
(first off Im not sure what forum to put this in. so I apologize.) Ever since I have put on the Volant CAI/RA Tube my check engine light has came on. Its showing O2 sensors....multiple. Is the CAI affecting the sensors or are the sensors just deciding to crap out on me...? Anybody have any issues like this or know of issues? or thoughts on what it may be? Blown 346
Sounds like a sensor is going to crap. I have never had a light come on from adding a CAI.
Aldofashow
^agree^ its just helping it breath air Did something happened to your MAF sensor during the swap that could cause the light besides that I'm clueless
Fireman31
Have you checked to make sure all of the clamps on your intake are properly seated and tight?
SS&Sierra_84
yes. to both. The maf was cleaned prior to install...I hope I don't have to replace them...
Blown 346
02 sensors are easy. No big deal there. Just a few turns away and there out.
Aldofashow
If scanned it doesn't tell you upstream or down stream it's just saying random o2 do I have that right
Blown 346
It should say what sensor and what bank. Any OBD2 scanner I have ever used will tell you that info.
SS&Sierra_84
I'll have to rescan it and get the exact codes...
zippy
Assuming you have a few other mods it wouldn't be a big reach for lean codes to show up from a CAI install. Quite commonly the maf calibration will be a considerable amount off with the addition of a CAI. This can lead to lean codes with anything else changing in the system.
