Sounds like the junkyard was trying to pull a fast one. Most of the yards will only give you what the weight of the metal is. Say its 50% aluminum and 50% steel. If the steel sells for $2.00 a LB and the aluminum sells for $1.00 a LB, guess what you get paid for...... The Aluminum.... they dont consider anything else. Thats how they make there money.
