Mr.RNR
What do i have to do rev the engine like old school (2000 rpm's for 20 minutes) or just turn it up?
JC03SS
I just drove normal and had no issues.
Fireman31
After the first initial startup and run which was 15 minutes or so, I dropped the oil and filter for fresh. Other than that nothing special.
Mr.RNR
Reved it for 15 minutes or idle?
JC03SS
Just drive it around normal don't get on it or anything just a nice little slow cruise. And yes I'd change my oil asap.
Mr.RNR
It the first start only idle?
dieseltech320
when I put mine in I had asked zippy the same thing and he said you can hammer it pulling out of the driveway if you want! lol. like others said though, after I did a little cruise around town I changed the oil. Fireman31
I let it idle for 10-15 minutes, let her cool off, then changed the oil and filter....

evandostert
I just swapped a cam. I kept idle at 1500 for 15 min. Runs fine now. I would change oil asap. Mine was nasty full of assembly lube black and silvery. Changed oil back to normal mobil one clean. I think my 100 miles of driving was too much change oil asap. chpspecial
We have roller lifters. Nothing to break in like the old school flat tapet cams Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
asund24
No warm up needed. the 20 min rule at 2500 rpm with no pressure springs is a flat tapit cam rule.
