shawnss
Im about to upgrade to 4l80e awd my ? is can I re-use the front drive shaft? if not why?? you can not reuse it because the 4l80e transmission is longer then then the 4l60 65 70e. So when you mount the t-case to the transmission it pushes it back farther back. so its not long enough and the rear driveshaft will need to be shortened. I had both of mine done for $375.00 with new u-joints on both shafts. Edited December 27, 2014 by shawnss (see edit history)

1BAD2K
I used a front prop shaft from a 2500 truck. I picked it up off eBay for 120 shipped. Then had my rear shaft professionally shortened and high speed balanced with you u joints for about the same.
