RickRolled
I think my tranny is finally going out. Its revs real high and wont shift to second until I let off the throttle it happen about 3 times I my way home tonight. Im prolly gonna take it to a shop monday. I had it beefed up about 4yrs ago hopefully its a easy fix.
Aldofashow
Sure it's not jumping second gear and going into third when you let off the throttle
RickRolled
I dont think so because around 30mph is when it does it and its not a big jump when it finally shifts
Aldofashow
Only reason I asked is I lost second in my oem transmission I had every gear but second it was like another neutral I had to punch first to catch the bottom of third drove like that for a year it sucked then I got my FLT trans and all is good never heard back from them on what caused it there pretty busy over there

RickRolled
Good news easy fix the 2nd gear band broke also my gear clutches were alil worn so I got new ones. Truck is running great again only problem is it doesnt shift as hard like before should I be worried? When I got my shift kit installed it would jam into second now its smooth. He told me he didnt touch it. Edited January 1, 2015 by RickRolled (see edit history)
Aldofashow
I'd break it in a little bit before worrying just like brake pads you gotta break them in before it will perform at its best
RickRolled
True I was just curious if I had to tune it again.
Aldofashow
I wouldn't think so unless there was major changes like a different stall converter or different gears
