evandostert
I keep getting my rear bumper smashed. Street parking in the city. I am sick of replacing rear bumper covers. Has anyone got a pic of an SSS with a plain rear bumper?

f1ss
Must be a MA custom bumper mod thing, mine got backed into at Trader Joe's on rt 9 Framingham while parked Would you powdercoat the chrome part(s) of the rear bumper? Just curious as it would be interesting to see an SSS with a bumper rather than the stock. evandostert
Thinking a rhino lined metal bumper. Might look like really bad with cladding not lining up. Looking for pics first. Maybe an av rear step bumper it looks a little wider? Edited January 20, 2015 by evand (see edit history)

MID12sSSS
There's a red SS here in town with a chrome rear bumper. Looks hideous IMO but I'll take a pic if I see him on the road.
03SSBoy
Youre probably better off getting a regular roll pan. i think thatll look better than the regular bumper
MID12sSSS
Youre probably better off getting a regular roll pan. i think thatll look better than the regular bumper I think he's trying to avoid the cost of replacing bumpers. A roll pan would be a terrible idea! Haha. That way when he gets rear ended, he's replacing a custom fiberglass roll pan, a tail gate, and possibly bed sides... Lol. Maybe just get a steel bar that slides into your tow hitch for winter. Kinda like a brush guard out back. That'll stop minor crashes from even touching you. Big crashes however, it'd probably just help bend your frame. Lol
03SSBoy
im not talking about the bser im talking about a regular silverado steel roll pan. but like brandon said just put a steel bar lol
MID12sSSS
im not talking about the bser im talking about a regular silverado steel roll pan Oh. I didn't think they'd fit???
WantaSSS
they fit.. just inside the bed sides under the tailgate. This means you see the "cut away" portion from the cladding. But if it was me I would at minimum buy one of those hitch steps the fit in the receiver. MID12sSSS
Strange.. I guess it works... The overhang of the cladding would drive me nuts.
