silveradoss_3
I want to change the headlights on the truck and came across some Putco LED headlights. Im curious if anybody has used them or knows if they are any good. I like HIDs but hate the warm up time. I have Putco lights in the interior and love them. But not sure about the headlights thou, anyways here is a link: http://www.autoanything.com/lights/putco-led-headlight-bulb-conversion-kits
90zxdriver
Subscribed. I just got new headlight housings and would also like to upgrade the bulbs. They are factory style housings so I really don't want to go the HID route either.

RickRolled
I've used the putco l.e.d lights as my daytime/turn signals they looked good and we're real bright.
silveradoss_3
As far as I know Putco is a pretty good brand, but I can't decide if I want to jump on these yet

jsanders347
Says the output is 2000 lumens? Am I wrong in not thinking that's very bright? I got a flashlight that is a million. Maybe it's a million candle power or whatever it's called.
avtonomb
Wow that looks better than hids. Subd
jsanders347
From what I've read they are not as bright as hids?
70chevy03ss
No you are correct. Better to stick with hids. Or do a retrofit using projectors. Leds not that bright.

70chevy03ss
If your going to spend some money look at Theretorfitsource.com Do something custom and look cool! I bought a whole lot for my truck. Granted not an SS but the quality is unreal! They have led bulbs but from what I have looked into the less for headlights don't provide a lot of light! Have you ridden in a vehicle with led headlights? I have recently, i was quite impressed to say the least as i thought the same before. Just dont know if the technology is there for them to last a long time yet.. But it will be shortly im sure and we will all be running led headlights if i had to take a good guess at it..
