Onebaddragon
My driver side front axle seal is starting to leak. I have a new seal, but need to know if I have to pull the cover to release the axle, or should it just pop out? Any help is much apperciated. Aldofashow
You have to remove the cover and pull the pin and Release the c-clip I'd do both seals and also the splash backing plates and while it's all opened up I'd also go through your ebrake stuff there are seals that keep dirt and moisture out mine were pretty beat up when I did my axel seals and bearings. EXGM
He said the front not the rear. You just have to pull the half shaft and pop seal out if I recall. I would recommend a seal installer but a large socket may work.

Onebaddragon
So there is no pin for the front diff then, correct? Just pop the half-shaft with a pry bar and replace?
eberhama
Yep, just take the CV shaft off the flange/stub axle, swing it out of the way and pop the stub out to replace the seal. Also Hi from the other side of the state.
