K&N CAI

Keystone Goodhood w/ functional ram air

---2005---

Zippy shift kit

Wynjammer s/c

and thats it for the ss, i will then :chillpill: and invest money elsewhere

--OBX FMIC (and .8bar (12psi as the IC will gobble 1.5-2psi) spring once this is installed)**

--2005--

--MAKE A DAMN RUN AT THE TRACK (better be low 11s / high 10s)

--tune for 750-800hp on pump gas for the street

--Drive the truck without a laptop...

** = in progress and better be done before 2005!!!!

So... did all of the ** get done before '05 hit??? or at least by now?

2004

bought in Feb when I returned from Iraq

tinted windows

12 inch subs

pcmforless

flowmasters 50 series exiting in front of rear tire

ARE LSII lid

drop in filter

2005

CAI (waiting to hear which really makes power)

grill inserts

goodmark hood

shopman bowtie

shift kit/servos

supercharger or turbo if I have time and money before returning to Iraq

Sorry to ask such a newb question, but I see a lot on Camaro/Corvette/etc boards where they have a Z06 lid, or an ARE lid, or some other kind of lid.. What the heck is a lid?

A lid just refers to the bed cover ... whether it be a tonneau or a cap.

ARE is a brand

Right, I understood that ARE is a brand, but I thought a lid in this case had something to do with the engine somehow (intake/exhaust/??), hence him saying is was an LSII or LS2 (which is an engine designation).. and also all of the camaro/corvette guys talking about it.. obviously they don't have a bed to cover..

The LSII is a model number for the ARE product.

When Camaro guys refer to lids, they are talking about hoods and air intake modifications.

I just want the STS for 2005. Maybe a shift kit and other tranny upgrades.

i hear ya, i want the sts very much, but i keep reading threads that complain of its unpractical use, and difficulty to tune. i want it , but iam divided on uncertainty of turbo on the sss. :banghead: so i think ill just try the wynjammer unless :dunno:

I think its between the Radix and STS. The WYNjammer shouldnt be in the same category of them. Pricewise, I guess but I would say not to go with the WYN :dunno:

why do you say that? people seem sceptical of the wynjammer. ive read through some ford forums, and alot of those guys are using them and having great results. not much info on a chevy based engine though.
