If your wire is too short, remove it and install a longer wire. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's odd, here's a picture out of my manual. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nothing odd about it, I posted this picture to offer an idea to the people who have the shorter cord for hanging the cap. My 2004 VHO came with the long cord and it will work both ways. I don't know why GM made different lenghts but the shorter cord won't hang the way the manual has it pictured.
