They were messing with a stock SS this week and the driveline was already rubbing on a frame cross-member. So I guess it's not going to happen. zippy Posted May 10, 2003 Report Share Posted May 10, 2003 the main problem wih the ss is the front differential. when lifting the truck, you can just lower the front differential, but when lowering it, you can't really move it up which just put's the axle shafts in a bind. lowering this truck anymore than what it already is will likely just be more problems than it's worth. i do believe it is one of the reasons the 2wd was used as a pace truck in place of a natural born ss. anytime your changing the ride height on a vehicle driven by axle shafts as short as what the ss has your just going to find problems.
