Sounds awsome brother! How does that cam drive? Would you recommend it for a daily driver or do you have to get it up high in the RPMs to get it moving?

Hell yes its about time. The 3 years I was in Cali I didn't get to make 1 SS meet. I'm coming from Slidell. I'll be headed there with buddy that has a 10 sec Lightning. Does anyone know if Capital requires a drive shaft loop with drag radials or just slicks.

I always thought the TBSSs were faster too. I've ran a couple on the 1/8 mile track and pulled most of them. I think I got beat by one with a cam, tune, ext/ int. and it was only by 1 truck. Good kill though!

I had a 2/2 drop installed with an alignment and it cost me $250.00. I had the same exact thing happen to me with 4wheelparts out in San Diego. 2 weeks before Christmas they quoted me 325.00 for install and align, then after christmas they quoted the book price as $550.00. So my input is screw 4wheelparts, shop around.

Hey brother I just had a zippy kit (250.00) 2800 stall (3 something used) new bands and 10 clutch pack with Lucas full synthetic fluid installed for 650.oo. I searched around for about 4 months while I was still in San diego. Do some research theres alot of crap trans shops out there. End state- do the trans mods. Best mod besides custom tune!

hey Zippy or Mr. P, I was actually looking at the same cam myself and wanted to get your opinion on it. I have a built trans and a 2800 stall along with all the basic bolt ons (i.e. intake, exhaust, headers, custom tune). The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on it is when I called Lunati, the cam guy recommended the cam 1 step down. Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 262/268 Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 212/218 Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .531/.531 LSA/ICL: 113/109 Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd RPM Range: 1600-6400 My trucks my DD but it sits in the garage for weeks, sometimes months when I'm deployed. But I really want it to be fun to drive and hang with or beat a stock lightening. Your personal opinions would be appreciated.

Hey bro I just had a 2800 stall from Monster transmissions and a Zippy kit with servos, new clutches and bands installed for around 650 and its the shit. The trans guy put in Lucas synthetic fluid a new filter and replaced the stock lower plainitary gear after breaking it down to parade rest and rebuilding it. When I first starting shopping for a shop to do the work I was getting quoted around 1200.00 to 1500.00 dollars here in San Diego. Zippy and others told me that was robery so I kept shopping. I can tell you that after the trans been done and the pcm was retuned, it really really made a diffrence!

Hey brother I bought a jet chip before I got my custom tune and I thought it made a diffrence. Then... I got a good tune and realized what a piece of crap and waste of money the Jet chip was. The only thing I use it for now is when I send my pcm back to get retuned so the trucks not a total dog. Go with what the guys are telling you and get a custom tune.

Hey guys, I went off the word of about 13 people on here about the 4590 being a "bolt in replacement" and I have to say, No freaking way. Well at least not on a 06'. I had to do some airframe repair majic to get it mounted. Then none of the fittings that come with the kit are worth a crap. Either way its an awsome cooler but it took alittle bit of searching to get the right parts and fittings.

Hey I was wondering if you still had any install kits left? If so how much to pick one up? I used the fittings to rubber hose on the 4590 I bought for now. Has anybody had problems with the clamped hoses coming off under hard acceration?

Can I get some input from you guys on a good price for a Zippy kit (any trans kit) and a torque converter install. I'm living in San Diego for another 3 months and all the shops I've called quote about 1000-1500 dollars. That seems alittle steep to me. I'm moving back to New Orleans and was wondering if I should wait to have Futral motorsports in Baton Rouge do it. Hell when are you doing the swap, I'd like to do mine at the same time. I'm right down the road from you. If I can't do it at the same time maybe I can head up there and lend a hand and learn something along the way!!

I'm wondering if anyone knows if I need to have my PCM retuned after I install the 2800 stall converter? I already have a tune from Wait4me, and Jesse had adjusted the line pressure and removed some of the TM. If anyone has a positve answer it would be greatly appreciated. Reason being, I'd put my stock PCM back in while the trucks in the shop and not drive it until the retune came back from Jesse. Alittle economy of motion. Thanks in advance...

I have mine set up with a dual in/ dual out 40 series flow with 2 turn downs in front of the back axle. Its load outside and load (drone) only under hard acceleration. You should check your state law of where your at because some states mandate that you have the pipe exit after the rear tire unless its a factory exhaust set up. I know here in California the liberal anti-gun faggets are anal about loud fast cars and trucks also. I'm registered in Texas so the ticket didn't stick on court.

Hey brother would I need to change the springs or are the stockers ok. I have maybe 30,000 miles on my truck. I have a 2200- 2500 stall in the garage. Would that be sufficent ? Also whats the advertised lift on that cam? Thanks
