  1. Once you hear someting that actually sounds good, the Bose system loses it's appeal pretty quick. The whole Bose system sounds like the music is being played through a paper towel and those tweeters are a joke.
  2. I too had Powerslots on my Dakota along with the Hawk pads. I do remember my Powerslots having "Brembo" stamped on the rotor, so I guess Powerslot just takes a Brembo rotor and puts slots in them or something.
  3. Not sure what you got your info from, but his real name is Ned Arnel Mencia and his parents where Mexican (mother) and Honduran (father). Either way, I think he's a hack and the only thing funny about Dane Cook is when people make fun of Dane Cook, like Mad TV did:
  4. All the radio chit is triggered off 6V as far as I can tell. The amp I'm using won't trigger off 6V, so I took a regular old Bosch relay and used it to trigger my amp (12V constant thru relay, 6V off the radio to trigger the relay). I originally just used 12V ACC, but was irritated when the subs cut off when I killed the truck and the radio was still playing.
  5. Bose uses 2 ohm speakers. Your infinity's may require more power than the Bose amp outputs @ 4 ohms to sound decent. Then again, I don't really like inifinity speakers, and it is possible that what you are hearing is just what an inifinity speaker sounds like...
  6. I was looking for the material also...MDF is the least dense I would go on a speakerbox.

    Remote Start

Range does suck with the factory remote. I ordered and installed an Astrostart 2205A and used an Astrostart bypass module (IOM-GMC-3). If you can solder, then this remote starter will only cost you about $320 about 4 hrs start to finish. The main module is also ready to be expanded and programmed for Alarm/shock sensors/siren/etc. and all the other cool stuff if you want it. I installed mine about 2 1/2 months ago and it has performed flawlessly since. I use it all the time. It's also uses a 2 way remote, which is what I'd suggest and NEVER use a passive bypass module always go electronic. And for the fanboys who are all about Python/Viper, DEI also owns Astroflex (manufacture of Astrostart).
  8. I believe the final 3 are the 3 that should be the final 3. As big a douche bags the Mario Bros. seem to be, they EARNED their spot. Nobody has really liked them from the beginning and they haven't had any help from anyone since like week 2. If they win, nobody can say they didn't earn it, that's for sure. The guys in the Charger didn't even know how to work on their car. They seemed like nice guys, but when Alsop said, "just bump the timing" and the Charger guy was like, "I don't know how"...I knew right then those guys had soft hands (don't know chit about cars). I know it's not the criteria for the show, but for me, I'd rather see someone win that knows how to do more with a car than put gas in it.
  9. Mine is in the body shop right now getting a BSER rollpan installed. Should be done tomorrow morning. I don't like the stock bumper, I think it looks kind of out of place on this truck.

    ps2

Playing your toasted games without a mod chip is sloppy and irritating to say the least. Swap Discs/Swap Magic/Flip Top Cases are more of a hassle than anything else. I've mod'd a few PS2s and the fact that you have a V1 console that still reads any kind of discs period is amazing. I won't even put a mod chip in a V4 or earlier, because of the weak lasers and reading burnt media is hard on a laser. Best bet is to chip it with a "good" chip that allows you to boot homebrew programs like an HD Loader and just play your games off a harddrive. This saves lasers and the boot time is vastly improved. I recommend Crystal Chips, but haven't been in the PS2 scene much since the PS3 came out. Got any questions about modding, just ask...
  11. It's people like you and your example that this really affects. Not being able to edit your post will just have another thread with a broken link. So new people will search, find your thread and see a broken link, then ask a question, THEN the "police" will be quick to jump in and say, "repost", "this question has already been asked", "try the search button" and there will be just a bunch of "helpful" threads with with broken links. The people who this "rule" should affect probabaly don't care if they get their peter slapped for saying something "derogatory" and they could simply register a new account. But my opinion is worth 2 chits, because hey, I'm just a supporting member, what do I know.
  12. Most of the stuff in the message is just a red herring, the meat and potatoes of the message is just math. It should work for everyone. I'd like to know the numbers of those who said it didn't work...
  13. Good question. I don't know if the stock head unit is running hi level out to the Bose amp and if it is, I don't know what kind of power the stocker puts out. The PAC converter really isn't that much $ and it just plugs in.
  14. I have stock tune, Volant CAI w/scoop and ghetto cat back and I average 14.5 according to the DIC. I averaged 13 before CAI.
  15. Adding a big hole in the stock muffler could only IMPROVE performance. Second Chamber has literally 5 baffles in it:
  16. Sound Deadening the doors will VASTLY improve sound quality too.
  17. Better click here if you want one: http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...c=33030&hl=
  18. Received mine today, goes on next Wednesday (9th)!
  19. A more suitable saying is "Be American/Buy North American", because most of the Big 3 stuff comes out of Mexico/USA/Canada. Closet thing to 100% American is the Ford Expedition sitting around 95%
  20. My wife and I both lover her 4Runner, the thing is awesome in the snow.
  21. Haven't smoked since I quit and I quit after 13yrs (10yrs of that was Marlboro Reds!). All I have to do when I think about smoking is remember how my lungs were on fire when I tried to play ball with my kid. I quit cold turkey (which didn't make me a popular guy at the time).
  22. 2.5" to the muffler.
  23. Mine is on it's way here from BSER, or I would have jumped on it otherwise. Others missed the last buy in, so I don't know where they are now??
