  1. well its better than stock. i was just exaggerating cuz i was a little pissed. if i was sure i would like the sound better if it didnt have an x-pipe id delete it. but i dont want to have it taken off and not be any different. plus id like to keep it on if i could
  2. first off i used to have 1 of the older flowmaster mufflers with 1-in-2-out to turndowns. it sounded alright but i wanted something louder and more aggressive. so i went with true duals to an x-pipe to 2 magnaflow bullets to turndowns after the rear axle. and its soooooo quiet at idle i cant believe it. almost like stock. could this be because there are too many bends in the pipes after the mufflers? or because of the x-pipe? or what idk i was kind of pissed when i picked it up
  3. i guess ill just have a custome one made. my buddy has hook ups with a carbon fiber shop so maybe ill do that
  4. well ive been looking around for a while for a fiberglass cowl hood and havent seen any. not for our trucks anyway. does anyone know of one? or is it not even going to be a big weight diff from a steel hood?
  5. i was going to remove it from my truck but wanted to find a DIY first so i didnt screw anything up. i havent been able to find anything yet so what info/tips do you guys have? thanks
  6. im looking to get an ultra high performance tire that wont screw me over if i get in an accident. last year that happened in the rain and it was "my fault" i slid out in the rain because i didnt have all season tires. so basically what is the best performance tire i can get that insurance wont cry about. i was looking at the toyo proxes st. i actually found a set on craigslist on the cheap but theyre 305/50/20 and i dont know if that will look too big with my drop. although i do want meatier tires than my 265/45/22 ps im getting the new tires for my black ss wheels
  7. im also going with this cam. but im gonna need a badass torque converter since its for my 4.8
  8. im 90% sure im getting a thunder racing 224/224 cam...but im also wondering what torque converter i should get? i was looking at yanks but i dont know what stall to get. any suggestions?
  9. im lazy and everyone knows it so here are the links to my craigslist postings. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/342536516.html http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/342535087.html edit: the links i posted didnt work so just copy/paste these. thanks

  11. how many injectors do you have? sry if that sounds like a dumb question
  12. oh thanks, i did a search before posting but nothing came up.
  13. im probably going to just gut my cats instead of run hi flows (at least for now) but i dont want to go a f-up my truck. so how do i go about it the right way? thanks
  14. hmm i wouldnt think they were melting. i think all that is due to a higher flow rate because of less restriction. but i could be wrong.
  15. anyone else? i know more than a few ppl have done it
  16. i dont have a spare tire or a trailor hitch. and im welding it in so it blends in with the bed. it looks VERY NICE!
  17. I just got a quote for my rollpan grtting welded in and painted. also im getting the handle relocator plate welded in and painted. PLUS i just got my ss wheels powdercoated black and im having him color match the center caps. well i figured it would be under 1000 but i just got the quote today and it was $1783! that sounds like too much to me so i want to know how much you all pid so i can compare. thanks
  18. im looking for some high flow cats. ive heard good things about the dynatechs but theyre like 180 bucks a piece. i saw the magnaflow "spun cat" and theyre supposed to be top of the line. has anyone heard good/bad things about either. or is there a different cat thats better than both?
  19. waste of money if you ask me. i know from experience
  20. whoaaa. thats not gonna happen. good old ups will do it for me
  21. thanks for the info personally mine isnt loud enough!
  22. PM me the shipping to 94538. very interested, money in hand.
  23. i was looking at getting 2 Boston Acoustic spg-555's. those are the crazy oval subs youve probably never heard of. theyre supposed to be better than JL w7's and i believe it. i had put one in my truck to test it and wow. right now i have 3 10" rockford p3's in my reg cab (2 behind each seat and 1 set up as a center consol/arm rest) it didnt sound that good, probably because i didnt have enough power to them. im using a rockford t10001 amp. so i figured i would free up alot of space in my cab AND get alot better sound out of it by going with those 2 spg-555's. to power them id probably get another t10001 amp and run 1 per sub. what do you guys think?
  24. i know its been done before but have any of you guys done it with great results? if so what did you have in there?
