PEOPLE PLEASE!!!
IT CANT BUILD BOOST! I'm sorry for screaming, but if any of you have taken physics, engineering courses etc. you would immediately realize it can not build boost. It has a fan, but in order to build boost, you cant let the air escape once compressed. This is a fan, not a compressor. It does not seal so therefore it can not build boost. Rotors in the radix seal against the casing and each other to prevent the air from decompressing after being compressed by the rotors. When the fan is spinning, it will force air into the engine briefly and once the air stacks up, the fan will not be able to push anymore in because the pressure will escape through the fan blades.
Point well taken!!

Our superchargers work on highly advanced technology new to the industry. It works by compressing air using a centrifugal turbine. The results are more horsepower and torque for minimal price.
Extraneous sources have tested our units in lab, and have reported information as follows:
Air Pressure : 1.256 PSI
Air Flow : 856 CFM
Power Consumption : 765 Watts
Spooling Rate : 27500 RPM
Size : 4"x4"x4"
Customer reports have shown that vehicle has given 33-34 HP and 22-23 FT/LBS gains on
average when using our supercharger and chip.
They have been designed to do the very efficiently.
We offer a lifetime satisfaction guarantee on all of our products here at North End Tuning. No harm will ever been done to your engine by installing our products. If you ever have a problem with our products, you can just send them back for a refund.
Our supercharger is such a great value because we have state of the art technology here at North End Tuning. We offer a fair value to our customers.
We have been in business longer than any other in industry, and our products give the maximum power gains possible using the technology provided.
If you still have any questions about our products please let's know.

Leroy - Customer Service

I posted that parking lot vid along time ago. I have tried to find it but can't.
Here's one I found at www.cardomain.com/ride/2237949
-
I've seen a video of this guys car sitting in a parking lot before and had just started it up and let it idle. Never seen this one before. It was in one of the forum here on this web site.
-
Someone on here did the math calculations to rpove this thing does not work. I think it was dacairns possibly...I think the baics was it could possibly provide a SMALL gain of air at idle, but anything higher than that, the fan could not a) produce boost pressure and b) not provide enough air at above engine idle rpms. To sum it up, the fan would hinder air getting in more than it could provide any. I dont know any $99 electric fan that could move enough cfm to feed a 6.0L engine at 3000rpms let alone 6000rpms...
I can't wait to here from them now! See what kind of BS they send me back.
-
I just e-mailed the company and called BS on their part. They would have to show the silveradoss web site proof that this product does work. I should get a reply back soon. I'll let you guys know what they say.

Sweet!!

I am in the market for a CAI as well. What makes Volant better than K & N?? Thanks
With the Volant, U don't get the hot air from under the hood. Especially wiht the ram air scoop for the Volant. The K&N is open to the heat under the hood.

A little late on that one. Who made it?
Damn! I'm slow. I found out!

for the mount....the lights..and shipping...it was a grand total of $92
A little late on that one. Who made it?

Heres an update...I got the mount yesterday....it is awesome looking...he did an excellent job...im going to pick up my HU today and install it all....heres a pic of the mount.....the wires are for the LEDS behind the Silverado....blue......and ill post some shots after the install.....cant wait..
I would be interested how much and who did it also. Looks really nice!

That's what I'm talkin' about!!

UV lights are for killing microbes.
I have worked in the Pharmaceutical industry for many years and am responsible for overseeing many plants water systems. RO is just a fancy filtration system using high pressure to permaete prefiltered water through a membrane. TDS, conductivity, and TOC are methods of seeing how "efficient" the system is.
Here is some info for ya. Most bottle water plants use city water and purify it using multiple filters (carbon bed, green sand, cellulose etc.) then send it through the RO membrane. The resulting water tastes terrible and the companies often spike it with minerals and acids / bases to make it more palatable hence the higher TDS and TOC numbers. If a bottled water is from a certified spring, then they rarely spike it, just filter it with no RO.
Going one step further, in the Pharma world, we take city water, spike it with chlorine (1st micro kill), filter it through carbon bed and greensand filters, hit it with metabisulfite (to protect the RO membranes from chlorine), passes through UV lights (2nd micro kill) shoot it under high pressure through RO membranes. The water that comes through the membranes is the permeate which goes to further processing and the water that doesn't make it through the membrane (concentrate) goes to drain. The permeate then goes to a WFI (water for injection) still and is distilled much the same way most alcohol is made. The resulting water that is condensed is WFI and is used for may of the drugs that you take.
Be sure to keep your water entering the RO membranes cool and free of chlorine to keep them living a long happy life Sorry to bore you
So it's better to drink beer!?

Any new tune should overwrite the existing hypertech, its like a hard drive or disk when you save a file named tune123.xxx and then make changes to it and click save again as tune123.xxx, it overwrites the old file. Also, if you plan to order a mail order tune, you will have to send your pcm back as a core more than likely and they will just blank it and overwrite it.
That is great to know. Now should I get a pcm from a junk yard so I can still drive my truck and what do you think would be the best mail order tune to get for my truck.
-
Superchips is BETTER than Hypertech on GM gas trucks PERIOD.
What about removing the old hypertech programming??
