i eat A LOT of protein, carbs, and calories and still cant put weight on. im 6'0, 145lbs. i just started taking cytogainer. it has 600 calories per serving, 55g protein, and 3g of creatin. hopefully this will help me bulk up, ill keep u updated

from leftlanenews: General Motors first introduced the idea of a lighter, more compact Duramax diesel at last year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, with the project moving full speed ahead in the subsequent months. GM revealed the top half of the engine late last year – including a turbocharger residing in the space usually reserved for the intake manifold – but kept mum on other engine details. But the wraps have officially come off the new 4.5L diesel, with plenty of details now available. As with most automotive applications these days, weight was a key concern for GM engineers with the new Duramax powerplant. With that in mind, engineers came up with a new way of holding the engine’s crankshaft. The 4.5L’s crank journals – the part of the engine block responsible for holding up the crankshaft – was created through a unique process called fracture splitting. This technique actually results in greater precision, greater strength and a reduction in cost – both in materials and machining. This unique design also allows for better air circulations between the cylinder banks. According to GM engineer Charlie Freese, this design reduces pumping losses, resulting in greater performance. “One of the big issues for these modern diesels is the ability to handle the exchange of pressures through the crankcase itself,” Freese told Automotive News. In fact, the new design is so success that GM is looking to use the technique in some of its future gasoline engines. Further tweaks to the engine’s lower half also resulted in a block that in 30 percent stiffer than any other benchmark design. The net result is an engine that cranks out 310 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torques, yet is 25 percent more fuel efficient than a comparable gas engine. The new Duramax is also 50-sate legal. The new 4.5L Duramax is slated for full-size truck and SUV duty – likely in late 2009 or 2010 – but there have also been rumors that the diesel mill fits nicely beneath the hood of the Cadillac CTS.

from leftlanenews: Frank Kent Motor Company is offering a unique sales pitch to move inventory: Buy a new Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Hummer or Pontiac and the dealership will throw in 50 shares of General Motors stock. The dealership hopes that by providing buyers with a small share in the automaker it will help move inventory and restore some faith on the fading company. The deal, marketed as “Drive a Piece of America, Own a Piece of America,” is limited to the first 100 GM vehicles sold before the end of October and it also includes all available rebates and promotions. With GM shares trading around $6.50 at press time, the deal is worth about $325. Fort Worth, Texas-based Frank Kent Motor Company also sells Dodge and Honda vehicles.

from leftlanenews: A group of banks led by mega bank JPMorgan Chase have joined the discussions between General Motors and Cerberus Capital Management over the sale of Chrysler LLC. JPMorgan Chase holds about $10 billion in Chrysler debt and is apparently eager to help General Motors acquire the beleaguered, privately-held automaker. “While a GM-Chrysler tie-up would clearly be a high risk transaction from an operational perspective, such a transaction may give GM leverage over two key stakeholders: the UAW and banks,” JPMorgan auto industry analyst Himanshu Patel wrote in a research note provided to journalists yesterday. “By saving Chrysler from a liquidity event, GM may also be able to get itself much needed secured bank financing from the same banks that are currently holding Chrysler debt.” GM would also gain access to Chrysler’s $11 billion in cash, though the combined group would ultimately shed up to 30,000 jobs, according to those close to the discussions. The job cuts would, naturally, be devastating to the Michigan economy, as well as Chrysler employees at plants, dealerships and regional offices throughout the United States. Ann Arbor, Michigan-based David Cole, chairman of the Center for Automotive Research, said that the GM-Chrysler deal is “90 percent certainty” during an interview with the Detroit News. “The cost of a cleanup would be a lot of more than preventative measures,” he told the paper. “The banks are pushing hard. They want to see a consolidation. A combined GM-Chrysler becomes too big to fail from a policy standpoint.”
