  1. I'd say get the limited WRX because you know your gonna wanna have the itch to mod it. And the limited is a good platform and you can mod it up to even better than the STI. They are fun little cars and reliability is a plus!! If you really must trade it in it's a good way to go.

  2. I second that opinion, good looking Lightning. Wish more of you with cool heads were on here + other forums. I love seeing other brand vehicles in brand specific forums being helpful and knowledgable. Retarded when they come in to show off or start fights.

  3. The whole time I was watching that video I was waiting for all 4 of ya'll to line them up and actually give it a go. That was the 405 South wasn't it? Looks like ya'll were headed to a car show! Nice looking rides. I'm not gonna say wrong forum cuz that's obvious but I'm still a fan of all trucks, very nice indeed.

  4. Seems like you realize'd on your own that there's a problem which is one of the biggest hurdles. Good luck with the challenges your gonna face, it ain't gonna be easy but it'll be worth it. I've dealt with some addicts and they all need a sponsor, IMO you have a whole forum of them so your in good shape so far! Best of luck bro.

  5. Hey all, I'm new to the site, was sent here by some PT.net members.

I'm looking for a set of SS wheels, 20". Here's the trick though, need a set that is wider that 8.5". I need to stick some meat, probably 305 possibly 325 back there and an 8.5" rim isn't gonna hold that much rubber and look good. I've heard that 8.5" is as wide as they come unless I go for 22" at which point they go up to 9.5". That sound right to you guys? Also can't be chromed because they are gonna get powder coated black...

    Thanks for any help.

  6. Three things!

    1) Welcome to the site...although I myself am still new.

    2) I'm gonna be moving to AZ sometime this year as soon as I get off my lazy ass and get out of So Cal.

    3) I am in need of some SS rims so all you guy bitchin about your 20's...Please come my way!

  7. Its all in the tune. My stock 5.3 put 500 rwhp down at 8 psi and no I/C. You will need a new fuel pump and 43 lb injectors. At the same boost levels the sts will out perform a maggie. The s/c will have alot more tq off the line where the turbo will have lag. You can setup the turbo to have very little lag however.

Same deal here...my stock LM7 with 8# of boost put around 460rwhp with 43lbs injectors and a FMIC. Reason my numbers were a little lower was I had a GT76 which is a little too big for the LM7 to spool up too quick. I'm installing a Forged LQ9 with the GT76 and should see 650+ rwhp. However I'm sure I coulda run 10# safely on the LM7. I'd say go for it and you'll be happy you did.

  8. I have an STS system on my Sierra. I've not had any problem's with leaking as someone above mentioned but it's not to say it can't happen. You can either run the wastegate into the atmosphere or re-route it back into your exhaust if you don't want the spoolin sound and dump valve opening up. I back this system 100 percent. Like someone else mentioned, Performancetrucks.net has this topic pretty well covered. They have a whole thread on pro's and cons.

    Hope this helps
