  1. Ok, I've been reading a lot about the different types of CAI. Oil free filters and stuff like that. But my question is, which one offers a true cooler airflow? A open CAI or a closed box one? This may be stupid, but I've read that AEM makes a better performance CAI and it's a open type CAI. Can someone help me with this. Thanks in advance.
  2. I'm also at looking at getting a shift kit for my 4L70E. I took a look at your website, but I guess I have a few questions. Does the Tow package come with the servos also or are the servos only offered in Zippy Kit? Do I have to drop my trans to install your kit? And does the Zipy Kit really bang into second gear hard at part throttle. As my truck will be a daily driver and being stuck in Hawaii traffic, I really don't want to have my truck bang into second to hard. Unless I put the peddle to the floor.
  3. How much more is the performance between these two mufflers? Any numbers?
  4. Ok. I've been reading the websites of FlowMaster and Corsa. They both are different designs. Which do you all prefer, Corsa's straight through design (w/ packing material) or Flowmasters energy reflecting technology (w/ no packing material)?
  5. Ok, I need some help with bolt-ons. First, since I've been reading that Outlaw CAI closed down, who makes the next better CAI with the oilless filters(don't want any residue in my MAF)? Second, if I wanted to go with LT's would I need to change the O2 sensors? I have the 6.0L VMax, 2 inlets and one outlet in the muffler, can this be converted with the Dynatech Lt's and Y-pipe and then hooked up to Corsa? Any help will do. Thanks in advance
  6. I was doing some research before getting a shift kit and billet servos. But was wondering about the hard second gear banging in Hawaii traffic and in parking lots.
  7. Was just wondering what is the fix to make low speed banging into second more tolerable in parking lots and in heavy traffic?
  8. The only reason why I was asking is because I would like to beef up my transmission one day and I really don't know which numbers to go by. Is there another part number I could check to see if my transmission is a 4L70e?
  9. Just wanted to find out if anyone else has had the same problem as me. First of all I did a efiLive scan on my truck and low and behold. It scanned my VIN and it told me that I have a 4L60e tranny and not a 4L70e. But my RPO code in my glove box says M70. Has anyone else have this same problem. Or is there a way to check the trans it self? If it's the wrong trans in my truck I'm going back to the dealer and see what the F--K!
  10. What about Doug Thorley? I called and they said since I have a 07 VMAx Classic I can use their tri-y set up. I also heard that they offer great low end torque at lower RPMS. Here is the details and link to their site: Part Number: THY-310Y-49-C Product Name: Description: CERAMIC COATING, 1999-2001, TRUCK/SUBURBAN/TAHOE/YUKON, 4.8L-6.0L, 2/4WD, NO SMOG FITTINGS List Price: $1002.00 http://www.dougthorleyheaders.com/products...6/productID/623
  11. If I installed servo, shift kit, and some other things to the tranmission, do I need to reprogram the TCM or the PCM?
  12. Mr. P,Do you know if TransGo fixed the problem with the ISS issues in the 4L70E? I looking for a hift kit for my 2007 VMax 6.0L, but everyone is telling me that the 4L70E's come with the ISS, some kind of speed sensor. Need help!!!!
  13. any word on zippy and the test of the shift kit for the 4l70e?
  14. I'm lost on TC's. When is it needed to add a TC into your tranny? Do you need one for just modified trucks or do you need one for a daily driver. Living in Hawaii, theres not much room to run pass 2000 RPM. Am I heading into the right direction for a TC upgrade?
  15. Thanks for the info CoolBlue. Is there any pictures of this spring or do I just add another spring to the second Servo? This is all french to me.
  16. great post and readings. Does this apply to all GM trannies, to include the 4L70? That's whats in my 07' VMax 6.0. I reqally want to upgrade the tranny before doing any bolt on parts. Ex: exhaust, Nelson Tune, & etc. But I really can't find any shop that offers or talks to much about the 4L70 tranny. It was also mentioned that someone has the fix for the hard shifts going through Walmarts parking lot, can someone post that fix. I would like to also say ALOHA from Hawaii..
