  1. Congrats on the win. Great looking truck and helper too !
  2. These new latches worked for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=260567503421
  3. I found these center caps on Ebay and thought I would add some shine to the ol silver wheels. Now I need to get some of those SS decals and stick em on.
  4. I bought a new set off of ebay. The ones I bought have a chrome center too.
  5. I just got it Monday. No problems so far.
  6. I took my truck in for 2 things. One was to get the new steering shaft, 3rd trip, installed. The other was this clicking relay type noise that sounded like it was coming from behind the radio area. This sound is heard only when the blower or air is on. It does it about 90 % of the time. The service writer says that they will take care of the shaft for the price of the basic diagnostic fee of 84.99. He said the relay would be about 3 or 4 hundred labor to tear all of the radio area out to get to it. And of course it was not clicking the morning I took it in. He called about 4pm and said he needed to keep it overnite due to more checking on the relay problem. So he calls about 1130 the next day and said it was ready. I go down there and he says they never heard the noise but they downloaded some patch that controls the 3 relays under the dash. I pay out and am driving out and see a new Vmax 4 door so I stop to look at it and when I get back in the clicking is going strong. I turn around and drive back to the service island and the guy hears the noise for sure. He says he will drive it in and let the mechanic hear it. He comes back out and says that yes it is the relay behind the radio and it will be 3 or 4 hundred to fix it. I tell him I will wait on it and drive home. The clunking is gone so I am a little relieved. That is until a couple hours later I drive out on the highway and see that my dam steering wheel is not straight. It is cocked about 2 inches to the left when I am going straight which I can't stand. I don't know if the wheel just moved a bit when he had the shaft out or what. I wonder if I should take it to a front end shop and have them check the alignment while telling him the shaft has been changed or go back to the dealership and have them look at it. Has anyone had the clicking noise?
  7. I have a set like that. They fit well and seem to be holding up although the white lettering is really hard to keep clean.
  8. Sorry to hear anyone getting a DUI/DWI. You may not remember blowing, but lawyers say never blow. Your going to jail one way or another. If it goes to a grand jury it's your word against his whether you were drunk or not. If you blow there is no question. I am with the majority on here, get a lawyer, like yesterday and explain these medicine problems. Hopefully you can either get it dismissed or get deferred ajudication and stay clean for 6 mo or a year and get it dropped. Good luck on the turnout.
  9. Yea those look good. I'm not 100% on the black yet, but looking at something different.
  10. I've been looking for some black wheels for the SS. Has anyone checked the Dale Jr. collection or have some ? http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseU...d+Stainless+Lip
  11. Yea, I've had boats, including a pretty fast outboard and a Sleekcraft jet boat and they would go fast enough to scare most. We had one boat turn 238mph in low 5 sec range and a few more into the 2 hundreds at this race. Those eighth mile or longer rooster tails are outta site too.
  12. I got a chance to help some guys on a pro mod boat a few weeks ago. The Southern Drag Boat Association put on a race here and my friend and I met this team from Missouri and ended up being on their crew for the weekend. It was fun but like most racing it turned out to be quite a bit of work. We did all of the loading and unloading and work between rounds. This boat runs on a 7 sec index at around 170. We went all the way to the finals and broke out with a 6.96. We still made the podium as runner up. This hot rod drank almost 55 gals. of alcohol in 2 days. I thought some of you gearheads on here could relate. here are some pics http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=11o2bd...=0&y=-5avyy
  13. It is a head turner though. I also agree on the bowtie on the spoiler.
