My truck was doing something like that a while ago- I would start it up and some lights would come on in the dash, but the wipers, blower motor and some other stuff wouldnt work. Then Id turn it off and right back on and it would be fine. Turned out to be the ignition switch, its a little plastic box inside the steering column near where the key goes, its wasnt that hard to switch out. The way I figured out it was that was when it was acting up I drove to the dealership and hooked it up to the tech2 and found no comm between the BCM and the switch I think, it was a while ago so I dont know for sure. Ive had verizon for like 6 years and never had any problems with em. I just recently got a blackbery storm though and its being a huge PITA, and they dont seem to want to help me much with tech support. they just keep telling me to wait for the software update to come out, but Im getting tired of my phone freezing up 3 times a day. As far as cell service and reception goes though its the best you can get around here

probably something like that, does the key have that little plastic pellet looking thing on it? Thats part of the security system- it might be messing up. A quick way to check that is to try driving it with a different key, I guess that wont help if the problems in the ignition cylinder itself though... either that or a bad ground somewhere maybe
