  1. I had the same issue with my neighbor. I worked 2nd shift and took my truck to work once a week and came home around 2AM. I was VERY careful to not goose the throttle out of respect but I guess it wasn't good enough. I am good friends with several neighbors and a couple of them told me that the one neighbor gets pissed about my truck. This guy NEVER approached me about it so I never thought anything of it. He would cut his lawn at 8AM when I am sleeping and I never said anything either. His house went on the market and sold with in a week and when they were moving, he came over (I was working in the garage) and gave me a piece of his mind (states he is moving because of my disturbing (truck)). I was calm and collected but it was the wrong way to bring it up. Bottom line, if he talked to me about my truck early on and not behind my back, I would have only taken my truck out during "normal" hours and would have totally respected his wishes. So that being said, I feel it was the propper way to ask and the propper way to address the situation. Nice job! ...but I wouldn't change my exhaust, I would ask if there was anything else I could do first.
  2. IMO, if you installed a cam with your specs and did NOTHING to the tune, you will have some idle issues and most likely a P0300 code thrown within 500 miles. I did my baby 216/222 and it had issues at idle until tuned,...especially at throttle transitions and stopping from cruising speed.
  3. Honestly, Mine is quiet. It needs to be under increasing boost conditions for me to hear it. With my exhaust, its barely noticeable.
  4. Are you going to use a plate system for the N2O or go with the nozzel?
  5. I don't advocate fighting but nice work!
  6. It has been a long time since I had a stock tune but I believe that the A/C will shut off at a predetermined RPM at WOT and come back on at a lower RPM. I want to say it is like 4k RPM's off and on. I have mine go off a little sooner. As I think about it, I am sure that this is programmed from the factory...
  7. I kind of like the 2.8 ;) If you can control the heat and you can dial in your tune,...you will be fine. Others will disagree and that is fine.
  8. Well I sold my Typhoon on E-bay and I received 11 FAKE e-mails / E-bay messages trying to get information from me. Bullsh*t!!! The most convincing one was a guy with a "legit" E-bay account that sent me a message (through E-bay) saying he "Bought-it-now" and it did not register. He had a link in his message to my auction asking me to make sure he is doing it right. I clicked on the link and it was the My-E-bay sign in page asking me for my name and password. Nice try. I did a net reference to the site and it has already been confirmed that the spoof site doesn't belong to E-bay. The others were all fake E-bay pages that showed my auction closed due to a Buy-it-now and to sign in and arrange payments / shipping. I'll admit, the pages were really well done with not one broken link. Guys, just be careful when doing a transaction on E-bay. Especially when it is a large ticket item.
  9. I grew up in Oxford NJ and saw first hand public gatherings. Based on freedom of speach, they could say anything they wanted and boy did they. The KKK is the oldest terrorist group in the USA. Not that I support the KKK but it is very interesting to see the what they do and believe. It is a real gut check to see what you feel is right and wrong. If you don't leave feeling sick to your stomach, then...
  10. I just said check voltage because it took me a while to find a FP drop on mine. My FP would have a dip everytime I got into boost and then recover. A long bit of troubleshooting showed that my 150psi meth pump actually had an impact on voltage to my fuel pumps when it kicked on at 3psi. Sometimes the most remote things will get ya. Two thumbs up for the 03 return fuel system though over the 04's.
  11. It is off of Airport rd . behind the shopping Center Somebody must have been there before not too many people know its BEHIND the shopping center. BTW, Its "Erves".
  12. Could be but I would measure voltage to the pump first. Measure it at acceleration as well as at rest. it is an easy troubleshoot to start off with.
  13. ...Usually. One slipped on mine I like the rope trick someone else posted for the valves as well. Just feed some 1/4 inch rope into the spark plug hole until full. Never tried it but makes perfect sense.
  14. Are you guys sure that the cover is installed far enough to the rear? Mine doesn't rub at all.
  15. your on the list So who is going to be the first to enter there ss in the burnout compitition? hmmmm... Gotta think if it is worth breaking something I will be Registering soon.
  16. I have a stocker that has been babied (less than 10k EASY stock miles) if you are in a rush to button her up.
  17. It pays to have a camera! Silver RSX Busted
  18. Well read this and comment: THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE TELEPHONE COULD DO: There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it: FIRST Subject: Emergency The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you. Also, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out. SECOND Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile telephone from your mobile telephone. Hold your mobile 'phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk). Editor's Note: "It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!" THIRD Subject: Hidden Battery Power Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the following keys: *3370# Your mobile telephone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery power. This reserve will get charged when you next charge your mobnile telephone. FOURTH Subject: How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? To check your mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your telephone phone: *# 0 6 # A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it in some safe place. If your mobile telephone is stolen, you can makea telephone call to your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so that even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your mobile telephone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile telephones. And finally, FIFTH Mobile telephone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411 information calls Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicles, which makes this situation even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial (800) FREE 411 or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all. Program this number into your mobile telephone This is the sort of information people don't mind receiving, so pass it on to your family and friends.
  19. I have a ghost in my truck. Every once in a while, a light on the dash will come on and go out while driving. Cargo light sometimes, security symbol, and DTC. I have no codes and have actually had my laptop logging a run when it happened,...nothing was out of the ordinary. If I let the truck sit for a week and drive it,...throw on the overhead map lighs, my cargo light indicator on the dash will come on for about 2 seconds. See any trend with only 03's having this issue?
  20. Island Dragway is about 1 hour to 1.5 hours from NYC strait out 80 West. It is about 2 hours (or less) from Philly. I was there on Friday for their opener after work. I got my 110MPH 1/4 mile certificate. The track is about 45 minutes from my house. Link: Island Dragway Link They rent helmets for $10. I believe there is a new rating this year and if you are running a supercharger, you will need a fire jacket. If anyone needs one, I have 2. I always bring my snowmobile helmet and just tell them I am going to rent one when I tech in. I then use my snowmobile helmet (which isn't rated snell 95). Its pretty relaxed. Here is Island's Schedule, looks like a race day on the 7th. You want to go on a test and tune or on a Friday night. I know it is hard for a Friday night for most people but it is a blast. Its only street cars that are muffled. Open from 6 to 10:30. Island Dragway 2007 Race schedule keep us posted!!
